Carbs and me - Part 1
Through to my early twenties, I had no real taste for dessert. Even at family gatherings, where the dessert table sagged under the weight of pies and cheesecakes and squares, I was all about the savoury foods, and was often too full to be interested in dessert. And I was skinny. And it was effortless.

While I have always had a sweet-tooth, I was never one for pastries, cakes, etc. I mean I had nothing against them, but preferred other sweets.

ReplyDeleteI was never skinny, and cannot fathom it being effortless! But I'm still attracted to the savory carbs, more than the sweet ones.
ReplyDeleteI was a chubby kid and I go back and forth as to whether I missed out on that blissful skinniness or whether it was a blessing in disguise.
