Humboldt. A post about many people

I played hockey years ago. So did my husband. Neither of my kids were interested, so we don’t have hockey sticks around the house, or I would put one on the porch in memory of the 16 Humboldt Broncos who died last week. I ache for the mothers. I ache for the town.

*I'm not sure if this is a story outside Canada. Here is a link: https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/death-toll-rises-to-15-in-saskatchewan-bus-crash-1.3875403

  1. I know. I can't fathom the grief that must permeate that community.

  2. I was from a small town too. I can only imagine it. Thankfully.

(The story made our news - though I learned about it first from another Canadian blogger who grew up on the prairies.)

  3. Oh, yes . . . it appeared prominently in our U.S. news. Just horrible. Did the truck's brakes fail? The driver will have a hard time living with this. When my neighbor was run over and killed recently, the 73-year-old driver was hospitalized for days—not for bodily injuries.

    1. I don't know. I haven't heard much about the cause, other than the truck driver was fairly young. So sorry about your neighbour. Unless it was the neighbour who hurt your dogs years ago.
