My daughter thinks she discovered musical
theatre all by herself, but she wasn’t paying attention. I played some – like the
soundtrack to Evita constantly when she was small. Her brother was listening. I
knew I was playing Les Mis too much when I caught him, aged 3, walking through
the house singing, “I smell women, smell ‘em in the air”.

ReplyDeleteI'm too distracted by the host's hair! I will have to listen to this without the video.
ReplyDeleteDid your son ever decide to break into song while you were shopping, or during church? There are so many places/events that could be improved by a 3-year-old singing about smelling women!
DeleteThat's so funny! I had to google the "smelling women" song, and now I agree with Kim.
ReplyDeleteLiked the Evita song - definitely I'm the right age to have heard all those. Amused at what Andrew Lloyd Webber looked like back in the day.
I know (re Andrew Lloyd Webber). He looks so young!
DeleteSabine you are so funny! And you were given good material at home. :-)
ReplyDeleteLoved the Scottish singer, whom I'd never heard of.
I played Les Mis a lot, but my daughter played it so much I actually got sick of it for a while.
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha.
