M.A.

She posts her profound thoughts on Facebook. By profound, I mean profound like a teenager’s journal. Not a profound teenager – an angsty, never-paid-attention-in-English-class teen. Like Jack Handy profound. She gets a hundred likes and fawning comments with each deep thought. I shake my head and click on the link to my friends’ blogs.

  2. Facebook is full of them! I especially avoid the deep thoughts posted large, with a shocking-pink background.

  4. That's one of the reasons I don't do Facebook much anymore -- those fawning people on some people's timelines. Sycophantic behavior irks me.
