Rush

I’ve never listened to him, other than snippets that appear in podcasts. Sometimes I see him quoted as a source on Twitter. How does one make a living like this? How do you spread lies and foment division so effortlessly? I assume there is a sexual component to the pleasure it brings him.

  1. I know people who LOVE him and have total faith in everything he says. In the poorly titled but well done documentary, The Brainwashing of my Dad, he pretty much admits he makes up stuff all the time. But his followers aren't watching that movie. He rivals Trump in number of marriages, and had some nasty publicity about his drug addiction, but nothing fazes his 13 million listeners.

    1. I've never heard of this documentary, Susan. Sadly, I can't get it on Netflix but I just watched a trailer Youtube. Wow.

  2. I'm not sure if I can forgive you for making me think of Rush and sexual pleasure together. Ever.

  3. Ditto Kim's comment. US-followers even here in NZ are well aware of what a charming (cough) man he is.

  4. I think I watched the documentary on Amazon Prime. Two friends came over to watch it with me. It's excellent. And shocking. I wish it had a better title. It sounds like a silly comedy.
